Track Reviews: “Bliss” and “Start Again” by Pacific Nerve

Pacific Nerve have released their debut singles, titled “Bliss” and “Here Again.”

First single “Bliss” is easily the more upbeat number out of the two, with the instrumentals bringing lots of energy to it. Catchy guitars drive the intro as the atmospheric synths layered on top bring a little extra emphasis to that section, and the drums come in during the second half of that section, showing off more during the verse to help drive that rhythm. That aside, the instrumentals are a bit more laid back in the verses and that allows the vocals to shine a lot more, bringing insanely catchy melodies until the unforgettable chorus, where the louder and harder hitting instrumentals return.

The second of the two singles is “Start Again,” which starts off a bit different compared to the first track. This one begins with acoustic guitar as soulful vocals deliver a memorable track, but it’s not long before harder guitars and drums come in, accompanied by keys and synths to finish out the intro. After that, the song gets a bit more upbeat and catchy afterwards, much like the other track. Passionate vocals put on an emotional performance during the chorus, and the post-chorus is pretty much guaranteed to be stuck in your head after the first listen.

In Conclusion…

These two tracks are both phenomenal singles from Pacific Nerve. While they’re both slightly different, they also both show off the band’s sound and show the potential and promise the band has.
